FLINT, MI – Pink Night Palooza, co-founded by Financial Plus Credit Union and the Hurley Foundation, celebrated its 17th year with another incredible show of community support. The annual campaign raised $202,085 for the Hurley Breast Cancer Navigation Fund, continuing its mission of helping local patients access essential care and support during treatment. The grand total reflects the combined efforts of sponsors, donors, auction participants, and mini fundraisers.

Financial Plus Credit Union contributed a record $35,000 toward this year’s fundraising total through its annual mini fundraisers, Banking to Beat Cancer and Pink Bake Sale, along with a corporate donation. Banking to Beat Cancer raised $13,958, and the annual Pink Bake Sale brought in $11,429, marking the strongest year yet for both efforts. All funds raised by Financial Plus directly support Hurley’s Breast Cancer Navigation Fund.

“Pink Night Palooza represents the very best of what can happen when people rally behind a shared purpose,” said Ciara Vendittelli, Community Impact Manager at Financial Plus Credit Union and Pink Night Palooza Co-Chair. “We pour ourselves into every detail throughout the year, but nothing compares to the energy in the room on event night. It’s a moment where you can truly feel the impact Pink Night Palooza has on the community.”

Held on Wednesday, October 29th at the Flint Farmers’ Market, Pink Night Palooza embraced a lively country theme, “Give Cancer the Boot.” The Erik Jones Foundation served as the event’s Title Sponsor, helping to bring the high-energy evening to life. Attendees enjoyed a bra-artistry fashion show, live auction hosted by Sheriff Chris Swanson, Tarnesa “Nurse T.” Martin, and McKenzie Miller, delicious food from local vendors, and a live performance by country artist Madison Olivia.

“This year’s Pink Night Palooza brought energy and generosity from all corners of the community,” said Karima Amlani, President of the Hurley Foundation. “Most importantly, it will provide local patients with critical assistance, helping them focus on treatment and recovery while knowing their neighbors are behind them every step of the way.”

Hurley’s Breast Cancer Patient Navigation Program is a vital year-round free service to help local men and women during treatment and recovery. The program identifies gaps within patient care and assists with financial hardships a patient might encounter, such as groceries, bill payments, treatment co-pays, medication, and wigs.
