PFCU Credit Union Announces formation of Charitable Community Foundation
Offering Grant Opportunities to Support Education, Agriculture, Arts, and Wellness

PFCU Credit Union is excited to announce the formation of the PFCU Foundation.

As a community-based credit union, PFCU is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. The Credit Union has traditionally provided support through donations, sponsorships and educational scholarships. As the Credit Union has grown in membership size and geographical reach, the Credit Union will be able to increase impact on the communities they serve.

The establishment of the PFCU Foundation helps the credit union strengthen and focus their philanthropic efforts. The Foundation will offer grants aimed at fostering growth and innovation in education, agriculture, arts, and wellness.

The Foundation strives to enrich the lives of our community members through the following pillars of giving:

Financial Literacy: The Foundation is committed to promoting financial literacy and education for all    stages by awarding grants for educational scholarships, skilled trades, and organizations that support youth and adult financial empowerment.

Health & Wellness: The Foundation supports community health and wellness by awarding grants for outdoor recreation, fitness, mental health awareness, healthy lifestyles, hospital infrastructure, and social service programs like shelters

 • The Arts: The Foundation supports creativity and vibrant communities by providing grants to theaters, libraries, museums, and other arts-focused organizations.

 • Agriculture: The Foundation supports rural communities by funding initiatives that improve access to local agricultural products, including farmers markets, community gardens, 4-H programs, and hunger outreach efforts.

Grant cycles will be announced in the coming weeks. For more information about the grant program, eligibility requirements, and application process, please visit the PFCU Foundation website or email pfcufoundation@pfcu4me.com. The PFCU Foundation is a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

The PFCU Foundation will host their first fundraising event on Thursday, March 13, 2025. This will be a Wine Pairing Dinner Event at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Portland, MI. This networking event will be complete with a silent auction and welcome remarks from invited State Senator
