Fenton Community Orchestra

About Us

The Fenton Community Orchestra’s purpose is to provide a place for musicians of all ages to connect through music by providing an educational and entertaining music program both for its members and its audiences. FCO seeks to promote mutual growth and understanding through the experience of musical performance.

Strategic Priorities of the FCO are:
1. Create opportunities for musicians of all ages/skill levels to participate in the performing arts
2. Enhancing community life by sharing the orchestra experience through a series of uplifting, inspiring and free concert performances (including outreach to seniors and youth)
3. Engage stakeholders through fund development to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the Community Orchestra

The Fenton Community Orchestra was founded in August 2010 by three Fenton residents who wanted the opportunity to play in a multi-generational orchestra. Now in its tenth season, FCO has grown to more than 120 orchestra members across three ensembles and performed for thousands of patrons and community members every year. FCO is a regional orchestra with members from Fenton, Byron, Hartland, Linden, Holly, Flint, Davison, Swartz Creek, Davisburg, Grand Blanc, Durand, Howell, and Clarkston. Since the beginning, more than 200 musicians have performed with the FCO ensembles.
